April Edition of MINING.com Magazine Full of Innovations

By Cecilia Jamasmie, March 18th, 2009 - PERMALINK

At a time when most global miners are suspending projects and selling assets to offset debt, South American countries are investing in expansion projects and MINING.com Magazine brings you exclusive interviews with the main players.

The World’s No. 1 copper producer, Codelco, which churns out 25 percent of Chile’s annual output, will spend about $2 billion this year as one of the “anti-crisis” measures explained by Chilean Mining Minister, Santiago González, to MINING.com Magazine

In this issue we include, for the first time, videos and we also give you some useful tools to help you to evaluate whether your company is growing in the right direction, to rationalize product lines or projects that may not fit with that corporate strategy and to plan for the future.

We also highlight the ongoing opportunities for Canadians and Americans in South America and how to succeed in that market

As usual, we include interesting and informative articles on environmental and social issues and we encourage you to keep sending us your letters with suggestions and constructive criticism.

By Cecilia Jamasmie, May 5th, 2008 - PERMALINK

Following the online delivery of the first edition of MINING.com magazine in January 2008, we are pleased to announce the launch of the second edition in both online and hard copy formats of our new quarterly magazine focusing on mining information.

The second edition focuses on “green” issues with articles on the equator principles, gaining a social license to mine, the impact of metals on ecosystems and health and that controversially necessary commodity, uranium. While users worldwide can read the second edition online, it is also being mailed to over 10,000 readers in North America. In due course, we anticipate worldwide hard copy distribution.

Each edition of MINING.com magazine will be supplemented by a wall map relevant to the focus of the issue. Accompanying the second edition is a map of major producing mines in Canada.

MINING.com magazine is unique in the way it presents its stories in a format optimizing the use of hard copy and the web. We believe we have achieved the “best of both worlds” for you, our readers. Register to see if you qualify for a complimentary subscription now.
