"Tailings and Mine Waste 2011" Publications Available

_jbp5287The 2011 Tailings and Mine Conference brought together almost 400 people from 15 countries to discuss an array of topics including mine closure/reclamation, tailings slurry management, rock piles, oil sands tailings, tailings consolidation, block modeling and related environmental and geotechnical themes.

Over 70 papers are available online for free through InfoMine’s library and on the cIRcle database at the University of British Columbia.  The presentations will also be available in the upcoming days.

A limited number of conference proceedings books are available for purchase in the InfoMine eStore.

InfoMine was the Secretariat for the Tailings and Mine Waste conference.

Cost Models Over thirty new editable mine cost models and commodity cost curves are now available in the InfoMine eStore.
The mine cost models are spreadsheets comprising of production costs, operating costs, revenue, cash flows, and more, applicable to several open pit and underground mines.
The commodity cost curve spreadsheets compare production and cost data for several mines producing the respective commodity.

According to Wikipedia, lithium is an important ingredient in anode materials.
